What matters beyond the app
The network, cable infrastructure, equipment ventilation, power management and commissioning discipline have a major effect on reliability. A visually impressive interface cannot compensate for weak infrastructure or poorly documented programming.
Questions to answer before choosing
Which rooms need control? Who will use the system? Is whole-home audio a priority? Are there existing lighting or security systems? How important are individual profiles? What should happen during an internet outage? Who will support the system after handover? These answers make the platform decision more meaningful.
